Description
Joya De Nicaragua Joya Silver is one of this iconic brand’s amazing newer selections. To begin with, Jonathan Drew’s creation of Drew Estate started a revolution of amazing cigars. From Acid to Liga Privada, Undercrown, Herrera Esteli and beyond. No matter which cigar he produces, smokers love them. What’s more important to note that Joya de Nicaragua is the oldest cigar brand in Nicaragua. What should be noted is that Drew Estate is the exclusive distributor for these fantastic cigars in the United States.
When Cigar Aficionado bestowed an astounding 93 rating on Joya silver, the industry took serious notice. Their review sums it up entirely. “Joya Silver represents a new chapter in the company’s history, comprising other tobaccos to address the diverse palates of today’s market. Joya Silver doesn’t stray too far, as the filler is still completely Nicaraguan. However, the Mexican binder and Ecuador Havana wrapper bring a contrast to Joya’s native leaf, especially in the Robusto where its initial notes of earth and cocoa burst with roasted coffee, dark chocolate and dark fruits. The smoke is intense, though finely trimmed with an elegant crème brûlée sweetness.”
With this in mind, it’s no surprise why so many seasoned smokers are rediscovering this time honored brand.

I’ve been a fan of Joya De Nicaragua cigars for over 20 years. Most of their offerings are exceptionally strong and robust cigars. When this Silver series came out in 2018 I was given a corona and couldn’t believe how great it was on all fronts. The fact that it cost around $5 was a bonus. Soon after it got high ratings and great reviews. The one that follows says it all.
“The oldest cigar factory in Nicaragua decided to take a step away from its traditional flavor profile and packaging and move towards what it believes is more modern blending and presentation. With its glittering silver trim and quilted mesh pattern, the band will certainly get your attention, but what intrigued us most was how the Joya Silver Corona performed. It starts with an earthy core that takes on layers of dried fruit, roasted nuts and coffee bean. Overall, the cigar is medium-to-full bodied without ever losing its sense of balance or harmony and is a pleasure to smoke from first puff to last.”
