When the highly critical folks at Blind Man’s Puff gave it a core of 94, they described it perfectly,”Overall a pretty damn good cigar. If you like dipping into the spice cabinet realm this one is for you. I detected notes all over, from cinnamon to nutmeg to all spice to cumin. Tasted like I was smoking a Thanksgiving dessert. Very warm and nice flavors. Due to the strength, I would recommend this as an after dinner smoke and pair with a bourbon or blended whiskey and a piece of pie.”

The AJ Fernandez Dias De Gloria is yet another one of this company’s great cigars.
With attention to detail, all the tobaccos used in this blend are all hand selected aged tobaccos that come from four of Fernandez’s farms in Estelí, Nicaragua. These farms include Finca los Cedros, La Providencia, La Lilia, and La Soledad. The result is a very popular cigar. Blind Man’s Puff rates it a respectable 91 and describes it perfectly. ” Just does so many things right that it’s a real winner for me. The smoke was creamy, draw was perfect, and the flavors were bold and complimented each other.

What’s important to note is this cigar began as a collaboration between AJ and two respected tobacconists in 2015. While this brand is technically not an A.J. brand itself, the box does say “AJ Fernandez” on it. Now its part of the company’s lineup and has become a very popular smoke.
When noted reviewer KATMAN gave it a 96 rating, his description was short and sweet. ” A true flavor bomb encrusted with pearls of colored spices.” Add this to Blind Man’s Puff ‘s respectable score of 93 and more than kind words as well. “This was an excellent cigar! With attention to detail, most of the tobacco in the Dorado comes from a single plot of land, namely the Dorado farm in Estelí, Nicaragua. This all Nicaraguan blend consists of of a sun-grown, Cuban-seed wrapper and Criollo ’98 binder with filler from AJ’s other fields.
The result speak for themselves. Cigar Aficionado rates it a very impressive 94. Their description says it all. “Beautifully rolled with an even draw and combustion, this dark, box-pressed cigar envelops the palate with rich layers of caramel, orange peel, toast and nuts. A subtle floral undertone appears before the long espresso finish, which hints of walnut. Complex and delicious.” Not convinced? Katman gave it an astounding 97 and Blind Man’s Puff scored it at 96.
