Casa Magna Jalapa Claro is another successful collaboration between Master Blenders Manny Quesada and Nestor Plasencia Sr. featuring the same Nicaraguan binder and filler as the original cigar that won Cigar of the Year in 2008.
The big difference here is the wrapper has been replaced with a light claro leaf from Nicaragua’s Jalapa Valley. The result is now a smooth smoking medium to full bodied cigar with sweet woody flavors encompassing hickory, mesquite to maple and oak.
Without reservation, Cigar Aficionado rated it a very respectable score of 90. Their description is spot on. ” This tawny cigar is softly pressed with an even burn and superb draw. Light touches of wood and tea gain intensity, exhibiting leather, coffee bean and just the right amount of earthiness.”
No doubt this Casa Magna is another one to try if you haven’t already!

Casa Magna D. Magnus II is second in the line of the Casa Magnus Domus Limitada line and the main difference is the wrapper. In this case they chose to use the exotic Jalapa Sun Grown one from a 2007 vintage. The result is a medium to full bodied cigar that has critics raving. Noted reviewer KATMAN was short and sweet with his words. ” The stick is so smooth. Like satin. I don’t want the cigar to end. It is a wonderful experience.”
Without reservation, Cigar Aficionado describes the Caligula size perfectly. ” Double-tapered and box-pressed, this full-bodied figurado is rich and heavy with earth, coffee bean and chocolate notes interwoven toast and a nuttiness for a voluptuous mouth feel.” They rate it a respectable 90.

Casa Magna Oscuro is one of the spectacular cigars available from Quesada Cigars.
With attention to detail, the dark and oily Honduran Oscuro wrapper encases a vintage blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers. The specially selected Cuban Seed Honduran binder leaves finishes off this beautiful cigar. The result is a long and cool burning medium to full bodied very flavorful smoke. Together with notes of leather and spices, add the taste of anise and dried fruit. To say nothing of the perfect draw delivering heaps of rich natural tobacco taste. Casa Magna Colorado is the hugely successful collaboration between Master Blenders Manny Quesada and Nestor Plasencia Sr. It would become a massive hit – especially after capturing the Cigar Aficionado #1 Cigar of 2008 scoring a 92. They describe this amazing cigar perfectly. “This smoke still entices us with its rich core of dark chocolate, nutmeg and wood. Some spicy elements of red pepper and a touch of bitter aperitif keep the palate engaged before the long, savory finish.”
Cigar Coop rates it at 93. Their words say it best. “It’s a cigar I’d recommend to almost any cigar enthusiast, any time of the day”. No doubt this Casa Magna is the one to try if you haven’t already!
