Description
20 Acre Farm by Drew Estate gets its name from the the farm in Clermont, Florida where this special tobacco is grown. To begin with, Jonathan Drew’s creation of Drew Estate started a revolution of amazing cigars. From Acid to Liga Privada , Undercrown and beyond.
When Cigar Aficionado rated it a respectable 90, they had kind words. “A pale cigar with a well-formed head and cap. Though the burn is a bit wavy, the draw is open, delivering sweet notes of molasses, brown sugar, citrus and vanilla atop a cedary core. The finish has a pleasant hint of honey.”
When the critical folks at Halfwheel gave it a 91, they were impressed as well. “The profile is sweet and creamy, complex and balanced, with a wonderful combination of cashews, cedar and toasted bread on the palate along with both graham cracker and honey sweetness interspersed with white pepper on the retrohale. Throw in overall good construction and copious smoke production that never lets up. This is one of the better Connecticut-wrapped blends I have smoked in quite a while.”
To sum up, 20 Acre Farm by Drew Estate is available in three popular sizes of 20 count boxes.

When I recently tuned in to Jonathan Drew’s “Freestyle Live: Special Edition” broadcast, he revealed the mystery cigar, the new super premium 20 Acre Farm. Jeff Borysiewicz who founded the Corona Cigar Co. in 1996, began growing and cultivating tobacco on his Florida farm in 2013. The Sunshine State had a history of tobacco growing which ended in 1977. Jeff felt he could revive this legacy and I for one think he’s done a magnificent job!
Jonathan said it best, “Jeff’s magnificent farm in Clermont has the feel of being directly transported from Cuba’s famed Vuelta Abajo region, where the best Cuban tobaccos are harvested. While carefully blended into the cigar so it doesn’t overpower the rest of the tobaccos, the Florida Sun Grown tobacco serves as 20 Acre Farm’s backbone, and it leads every aficionado on an exclusive journey thru history, space and time to the gilded years of Cuban cigars.”
What I can tell you about this cigar is that its full bodied, full flavored and full strength immediately upon lighting it up. Interestingly enough, it moves itself along rather quickly without getting harsh or hot. Around the midpoint the strength settles down before ramping up again towards its smooth finish. Flavor notes of caramel and roasted nuts are present throughout and are engulfed in a natural tobacco sweetness. Don’t let a lack of complexity fool you. This cigar is rich and powerful powerful while being oddly light on the palate.
If you’ve never smoked a cigar made with Florida Sun Grown tobacco, try this one because its light years better than all others.
