Description
Alec Bradley Texas Lancero is by far the biggest cigar this boutique company produces. To begin with, Alec Bradley is a family company launching in 1996 by Alan Rubin. Today, they manufacture some of the world’s highest critically acclaimed premium cigars. Producing over 10 million cigars a year places them as one of world’s top cigar makers. The company was recently purchased by Altadis USA to become part of their Forged Cigar unit.
With attention to detail, Plasencia TDO in Honduras produces this huge cigar. They carefully managed to pack this oversized smoke with loads of Costa Rican, Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco. Like a traditional lancero, the Texas Lancero does indeed have a pigtail cap, but that’s where the similarities end. With a thickness of 70 ring gauge, which is over an inch in diameter, the Texas Lancero is almost as big as a cardboard paper-towel tube.
With that being said, the Texas Lancero is actually a smooth smoking medium bodied cigar yielding a long and enjoyable smoke. In fact, The Average Joe rates this big entry a respectable 90. Their summation is spot on. “The Texas Lancero offers a creamy texture along with sweetness and a bit of spice through the nose. It contains a great flavor balance offering a nice, long finish.”
To sum up, Alec Bradley Texas Lancero is available in a 10 count box.
