Description
CAO Arcana Firewalker series is another unique selection focusing on old-world processing methods and limited production. To begin with, Cano Aret Ozgener started CAO in 1977 as a pipe and personal humidor company. In 1995 he created the CAO Gold cigar line which became an unexpected success throughout the country. Soon thereafter other blends like the Maduro and Cameroon achieved high ratings and accolades as well. As of 2006 is now part of Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s General Cigar brand listing. Since then CAO continues to grow in popularity and blend offerings that attract an ever growing segment of smokers to this day.
With attention to detail, the Arcana Firewalker blend uses an Ecuadoran Habano Rosado wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. This edition utilizes a proprietary “chincagre” fermentation process that’s pretty impressive. The filler, which grows in Nicaragua’s Mastepe region, is assembled into a pilón and then buried in the volcanic soil for two months. After that, the tobacco goes to the factory for nine months of secondary fermentation.
To sum up, CAO Arcana Firewalker is available in a (6.5×56) Double Toro of 20 count boxes as well as five packs if you want to give them a well deserved try!

So this is the second entry of the CAO Arcana series with the first being Mortal Coil. This one is called Firewalker which was released in January ’22 as a limited edition totaling 5000 boxes.. According to CAO’s owners at Scandinavian Tobacco Group [STG] the Nicaragua’s Mastepe region’s filler is assembled into a pilón and then buried underground in this particularly volcanic soil for two months. Then the tobacco goes to the factory for an additional nine months of double fermentation before final assembly. STG says ,“This process allows the tobacco to ferment naturally, locking in an inherently sweet and aromatic quality.” Yikes! Well, you have to hand it to the folks at CAO for creativity here!
While the jury still seems to be out on Firewalkers overall body and strength, it seems to be a medium to full bodied cigars that picks up strength as you smoke it. The chief flavor note seems to be earthy which is no surprise. From start to finish there’s also plenty of peppery spices, hardwoods and cocoa powder as well. I think one of the primary pleasures of this unique cigar is the pronounced natural tobacco sweetness and very pleasing aroma. This is definitely worth trying a 5 pack.
