Description
CAO Bones is without a doubt one of the most complexly blended cigars from this great company. To begin with, Cano Aret Ozgener started CAO in 1977 as a pipe and personal humidor company. In 1995 he created the CAO Gold cigar line which became an unexpected success throughout the country. Soon thereafter other blends like the Maduro and Cameroon achieved high ratings and accolades as well. As of 2006 is now part of Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s General Cigar brand listing. Since then CAO continues to grow in popularity and blend offerings that attract an ever growing segment of smokers to this day.
With attention to detail, this cigar’s blend uses a four year old Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Connecticut Shade binder, and two varieties of Honduran tobacco from Jamastran and La Entrada, along with Nicaraguan Estelí and Dominican Piloto Cubano filler. The result is a medium bodied smooth tasting cigar with an array of balanced flavor notes able to pleasantly stimulate even the most discerning palates around the world. Think toasted marshmallow, vanilla and clove for starters!
Hey, you don’t have to take our word for it. With a 91 rating from Blind Man’s Puff and an astounding score of 95 from Leaf Enthusiast, how can you go wrong!
To sum up, CAO Bones comes in four popular sizes of 20 count boxes. And as a bonus, each box purchase includes a set of dice.

Richard Cucharo –
Bones is the creation of CAO’s brand ambassador Rick Rodriguez and was blended to be medium- to full-bodied via a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, Connecticut shade binder and a filler combination of Nicaraguan , Dominican Piloto Cubano and Honduran leaf from two different regions: Jamastran and La Entrada.
I recently tried one and heartily agree with the following assessment,
“An inky, near-black cigar with a bumpy cap. It produces a flaky white ash, as well as an earthy smoke whose sweet notes of toasted marshmallow, vanilla and clove take a minty turn before the mineral finish”
