Description
CAO Classic: Maduro is formally known as the CAO L’Anniversaire Maduro. To begin with, Cano Aret Ozgener started CAO in 1977 as a pipe and personal humidor company. In 1995 he created the CAO Gold cigar line which became an unexpected success throughout the country. Soon thereafter other blends like the Maduro and Cameroon achieved high ratings and accolades as well. As of 2006 CAO is now part of Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s General Cigar brand listing. Since then CAO continues to grow in popularity and blend offerings that attract an ever growing segment of smokers to this day.
With attention to detail, fermenting its wrapper under extreme heat for three months until it becomes rich and dark is a difficult task to say the least. Then encasing the Ecuadoran binder along with a blend of selected Nicaraguan and Dominican long filler leaves. The result is a spectacular cigar standing the test of time for over 25 years. This is a medium plus to full bodied smoke for seasoned smokers and passionados. Newcomers need not apply.
To sum up, CAO Classic: Maduro is available in three popular sizes of 20 count boxes

Rich Cucharo –
Formally known as the CAO L’Anniversaire Maduro, this 90 rated cigar is an under the radar, old school favorite for countless fans of which I’m one. It’s perfectly constructed, slow burning and has a splendid draw. You can sense an almost honey like taste mixed with espresso. It’s truly a rich flavored dark stick that gets a little spicy as you move along. I recommend a five pack of any size to see for yourself.
