Description
CAO New Age: Flathead Steel Horse is a follow up to the very popular original Flathead series. To begin with, Cano Aret Ozgener started CAO in 1977 as a pipe and personal humidor company. In 1995 he created the Gold cigar line which became an unexpected success throughout the country. Soon thereafter other blends like the Maduro and Cameroon achieved high ratings and accolades as well. As of 2006, CAO is now part of Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s General Cigar brand listing. Since then CAO continues to grow in popularity and blend offerings that attract an ever growing segment of smokers to this day.
With attention to detail, this complexly blended cigar is wrapped in a proprietary Connecticut Habano Grueso [meaning thick] leaf featuring tobacco from four countries containing Brazilian Arapiraca as the binder along with Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos comprising the filler. In short, this is an entirely different cigar from the original Flathead. As a bonus, each cigar is in it’s own individually box.
The result is a medium to full bodied cigar with unique flavor notes. Think coffee beans, raisins and bits of peppery spices for starters. Hey, don’t take our word for it. With Cigar Coop scoring it a 90 and Blind Man’s Puff at 93, we think you’ll agree Steel Horse is another winner for CAO.
To sum up, CAO New Age: Flathead Steel Horse comes in four popular sizes of twenty count boxes

I rode a motorcycle for many years until I decided the risk wasn’t worth the thrill so I got a kick out of this editions entry after the introduction of the absolutely amazing original Flathead. I loved the packaging and its theme but I’m sorry to say not the cigar so much. But hey…that’s just me. If you’re a fan of this stick, I apologize. It just seemed that the five country blend didn’t produce anything like the original considering its price and name.
