Description
Casa Turrent 1942 Maduro celebrates the year of birth of Alejandro Turrent’s father. To begin with, Alberto and Alejandro Turrent, owners of Nueva Matacapan de Tabacos S.A de C.V are the first family of Mexico’s cigar industry. The father-son team make some of Mexico’s best cigars. They are also the largest grower of cigar tobacco in the country. The San Andres Maduro leaf growing outside of Veracruz is world renowned for its quality. A variety of their tobaccos are important components in many of America’s most popular premium cigar brands.
With attention to detail, the 1942 Maduro uses a Mexican San Andrés negro Colorado wrapper grown exclusively by the company for this cigar. Completing the blend is a San Andrés criollo binder leaf and fillers of San Andres criollo, San Andrés negro and Nicaraguan tobacco.
Turrent calls it a medium to full strength cigar that is spicy without being aggressive, offering more complexity that the Serie 1901 line. Developing Palates says the 1942 is one of those good cigars where it manages to deliver layers of rich flavor from the start all the way to the nub.
To sum up, Casa Turrent 1942 Maduro comes in five popular sizes of 20 count boxes. But BEWARE….these great smokes sell out quickly. So get them when we have them. Enjoy!

Like the other dated Turrent editions, this one is probably my favorite. The four year aged vintage leaves give way to a superb medium bodied cigar that complex, flavorful and wonderfully spicy without being aggressively so.
