Description
Cohiba Blue is another great version of this amazing brand. The Dominican made Cohiba began its journey when Diaz y Cia developed the cigar in 1978. General Cigar’s dogged determination to retain the property rights to this icon has been a long and hard fight. From then the cigar went through blending changes over the decades that continue to this day.
To begin with, the Blue edition was introduced in 2017 as a more “Budget Friendly” style of this hugely popular brand. When the highly critical folks at Blind Man’s Puff gave it a 90 rating, there was no doubt it was another winner. The use of vintage Honduran leaves combined with Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco produces a very tasty medium to full bodied smoke. One reviewer said it best, “most of the cigars flavors are deep and rich, rarely leaving anything other than a wanting for that next puff, capped off by an outstanding technical performance.”
Cohiba Blue is available in 7 popular sizes. If you’ve never tried one of these amazing cigars, what are you waiting for? Any size you pick will prove to be a thoroughly enjoyable super smooth smoking experience. From the Robusto to the massive 7×70, any one you choose is a top pick!

OK. So here we are looking at Cohiba Cigars. We all know that the Cohiba name is probably the most recognizable one in the cigar industry throughout the world. If you’ve smoked one of the real Cuban Cohibas over the last few years, if you’re honest with yourself, you may want to quietly admit that it wasn’t worth the astoundingly expensive price it cost.
General Cigar’s dogged determination to retain the property rights to this icon has been long fought and hard won. I have to say that the Cohiba cigars readily available to all of us rival the Cubans on many levels. Yes, they are pricey. But considering the time, effort, amazing quality, craftsmanship and selection of tobaccos that go into each style, it is well worth the price of admission.
The Blue line was recently added offering us mere mortals a four country blend yielding a medium bodied gem for a friendly price point that has the unmistakable Cohiba Signature. Try a five pack of any size and you’ll see what I mean!
