Description
Crowned Heads La Coalicion is a collaboration between Jon Huber of Crowned Heads and Willy Herrera of Drew Estates. To begin with, Nashville based Crowned Heads is headed up by four former CAO executives. After leaving CAO in 2010 they began producing unique cigars known for their Cuban-inspired packaging and blending. Today, the company remains committed to producing cigars of exceptional quality, flavor, and balance.
With attention to detail La Coalicion possesses an oily Connecticut broadleaf Maduro wrapper, a sweet and spicy Sumatra leaf, and a core of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Among the rave reviews, Cigar Dojo scores it a 90 giving it the best summary. “It’s clear as soon as you light this cigar that you are dealing with very high-quality tobacco that is masterfully constructed. These two industry giants (Crowned Heads and Drew Estate) have perfectly imprinted their mark on a true collaborative flavor profile. There are sure to be notes that remind you of each blender’s signature styles. The construction is immaculate and the flavor delivers in a way that any cigar connoisseur can appreciate.”

LA COALICIÓN has proved to be one of those Crowned Heads blends appealing to more seasoned smokers. The first visible characteristic you’ll notice is the toothy wrapper. Check out my article on the ASK RICHIE section of our home page to learn more about this term and how it effects a cigars taste. The wrapper on the medium to full bodied La Coalicion is only the beginning. The full and open draw yields heaps of aromatic smoke along with notes of cedar wood,, almonds, vanilla and lots of natural tobacco flavor.
