Description
Joya De Nicaragua Black is one of this iconic brand’s amazing newer selections. To begin with, Jonathan Drew’s creation of Drew Estate started a revolution of amazing cigars. From Acid to Liga Privada, Undercrown, Herrera Esteli and beyond. No matter which cigar he produces, smokers love them.
What’s more important to note that Joya de Nicaragua is the oldest cigar brand in Nicaragua. What should be noted is that Drew Estate is the exclusive distributor for these fantastic cigars in the United States.
Joya Black is a follow-up to the well-received Joya Red launched in 2014. This blend continues efforts from the Joya de Nicaragua factory to introduce contemporary, innovative products to the marketplace. Without a doubt, it’s no surprise this cigar was highly rated by many critics.
Blind Man’s Puff exclaimed “This was a cigar I would gladly smoke again. Every aspect of the cigar was really good, and it kept me interested the entire time. Bold smoke output, great burn, complex and yummy flavors. These are the characteristics anyone would want in a cigar.”
Cigar Aficionado chimed in as well. “This cigar leaves precise impressions of black cherry and cocoa nibs on the palate, which are elevated by notes of leather, nougat and a hint of peppermint.”
With this in mind, it’s no surprise why so many seasoned smokers are rediscovering this time honored brand.
Joya De Nicaragua Black is available in four popular sizes of 20 count boxes

50 years ago this brands Original entry (featured on our site) was considered one of the world’s best cigars with a reputation as a true cuban style “He Man” stick. If you’re a fan of mild smokes you would have stood clear of this 90+ rated long time full bodied old school favorite. It still remains one of my favorites with whiskey.
Drew Estate acquired the brand several years ago and it wasn’t long before they began to reinvent the line. Their first edition of Joya Red (listed on our site) was a huge success. When Black hit the scene in 2018, not only did it get a 93 rating, it was also named one of the top 25 cigars of the year! The addition of a San Andreas Mexican wrapper made this medium bodied, slow burning stick a huge hit at a very friendly price.
