Description
Leaf by Oscar Barber Pole is of this company’s most unique entries. To begin with, the Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co., is located in Danli, Honduras beginning operations in 2012. The Factory was founded by Oscar Valladares, his brother Hector Valladares and Bayron Duarte. Since its inception, Oscar cigars have become more popular year after year with newcomers and seasoned smokers alike.
With attention to detail, this Barber Pole utilizes a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper and pairing with a green candela wrapper. It’s also important to note that this one is unique in that it uses a box-pressed format. The cap is also unique in that it also features a maduro cap surrounded by a candela ring. To say this cigar is a masterful creation is an understatement.
The results of this craftsmanship speak for themselves. The medium to full body combines with an array of flavors producing rich tasting aromatic smoke. But you don’t have to take our word for it. Halfwheel rates it @ 90, KATMAN @91, Cigar Coop @ 91 and Blind Man’s Puff @92. If you’ve never tried a Barber Pole, this is the one to get!
To sum up, Leaf by Oscar Barber Pole is available in a 6×52 size Toro of 10 count boxes.

Rich Cucharo –
I love Barber Pole sticks. Their wrapper combinations always put an interesting twist on whatever your expectations are. While this edition is a Nicaraguan purebred, the fact that a very rarely grown candela leaf was used along with the maduro one is unique. Needless to say, this stick is very complex with a bunch of taste notes. Its oddly sweet with accents of coffee and spice but the flavors alternate as you move along. The light wrapper keep a medium body in place to the finish with only a slight gain of intensity towards the end. Great change of pace for seasoned smokers or newcomers and a terrific gift in the box of ten.
