Description
Macanudo Inspirado Green is another of the company’s hugely successful boutique entries. To begin with, literally everyone knows the name Macanudo. However, Macanudo was originally the name created by the makers of the Punch Cuban cigars. In 1971, General Cigar introduced Macanudo as a stand alone brand and the rest is cigar history! Production shifted from Jamaica to the Dominican Republic in October 2000 where it remains to this day.
With attention to detail, Green is the latest full-time addition to the Inspirado family. This complexly blended smoke packs exotic Brazilian and Colombian flavors in a provocative cigar too good to pass up. Smoking Inspirado Green yields a unique experience uncommon in premium cigars. It all starts with amazing flavors in the rare Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper. This tobacco delivers an exceptionally smooth and velvety essence. Combine this with Colombian Carmen Cubito and Dominican Piloto Cubano filler tobaccos and the result is loaded with flavors of earthy sweetness and black pepper.
With this in mind, Cigar Aficionado rates this 2021 release a very respectable 91. Their description is spot on. ” Though solid to the touch, this dark toro burns and draws evenly, showing a thick, spicy smoke that loads the palate with sweeter notes of maple syrup, hickory and molasses atop an underlying earthy core of coffee bean. The zingy finish is bright with cedar.”
To put it another way, Green is another winner for Macanudo and cigar lovers everywhere!
To sum up, Macanudo Inspirado Green is available in 4 popular sizes of 25 count boxes.

When General CIgar released the first in a series of what was to become the Inspirado line in 2016, the industry really took notice. The Orange edition rated 90 and was universally hailed for its taste, quality and more than fair price. As the White, Black and Red versions followed, more of the same accolades were bestowed for the same reasons across the board. When this Green Label hit the streets late last year, hopes were high. Getting a 91 rating gave us our answer. C/A summed this full bodied cigar up as follows,
“Though solid to the touch, this dark toro burns and draws evenly, showing a thick, spicy smoke that loads the palate with sweeter notes of maple syrup, hickory and molasses atop an underlying earthy core of coffee bean. The zingy finish is bright with cedar.”
