Description
Macanudo Maduro is the first darkly wrapped vitola from this iconic company. To begin with, literally everyone knows the name Macanudo. In 1971, General Cigar introduced Macanudo as a stand alone brand and the rest is cigar history! Production shifted from Jamaica to the Dominican Republic in October 2000 where it remains to this day.
This Maduro arrived over 20 years ago with a dark Broadleaf wrapper encasing the Cafe’s signature blend. The result moved the needle on the taste meter into medium bodied flavor range opening up the brand to new smokers that wanted a more robust smoke while enjoying Macanudos quality and consistency.
Cigar Aficionado rates this complexly blended cigar a respectable 90. They describe it perfectly. ” A lovely little perfecto with a nice draw. It’s sweet, rich and nutty, with a wheaty core and a toasty finish smacking of anise. Medium bodied.”
To sum up, Macanudo Maduro is available in a wide array of popular sizes in 8,10 and 25 count boxes. There’s also tins of cigarillos as well. The Crystal Cafes make a great gift!
