Description
Montecristo White is one of this long storied company’s most popular cigars. To begin with, when this iconic Cuban brand was launched in 1935, the world of Premium Cigars changed forever. Altadis acquired the Montecristo name for outside of Cuba in 1990 and began producing many sizes and styles available to all of us. Over the years, this brand’s portfolio continues to grow adding blends appealing to every smoker. Expensive? Yes. Worth the price? Absolutely. Quality, consistency, draw and taste complexity have remained near perfect for decades.
When this White banded edition appeared in 2017, an entirely new group of smokers discovered this brand for the first time. Many of those folks that gravitated to mild to mellow tasting cigars now had a Montecristo to call their own. The addition of tamer Nicaraguan fillers with Dominican leaves and encasing it with an Ecuadorian grown Connecticut seed wrapper yields a smooth, lighter smoke with a tiny bit of crispy spice that’s enjoyable for everyone.
There was no doubt this cigar was a hit as the accolades poured in. When Blind Man’s Puff rated it at 94, they said it best. “Excellent smoke! One of the best mild-medium smoked I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The rich buttery and vanilla notes that were the backbone of this cigar were thoroughly enjoyable. Only smoke this cigar when you have the time to sit back, relax, and savor a truly high quality cigar. ”
To sum up, Montecristo White is available in nine popular sizes in 10,15 and 27 count boxes.

When this Cuban brand was launched in 1935, the world of Premium Cigars changed forever. Their #2 Torpedo became the world’s biggest selling cigar. I’ve had a few of them over the years and can honestly say they were ok. But that’s just me.

The Court corona sized tubes are one of my favorites.
