Description
Pichardo Reserva Familiar consists of three blends of Ace Prime which is a strategic distribution partner with Crowned Heads Cigars. To begin with, Nashville based Crowned Heads is headed up by four former CAO executives. After leaving CAO in 2010 they began producing unique cigars known for their Cuban-inspired packaging and blending. Today, the company remains committed to producing cigars of exceptional quality, flavor, and balance.
With attention to detail, each one is made at Tabacalera Pichardo in Nicaragua. Supervision is under the eye of Don Eradio Pichardo, a third generation tobacco agriculturist and native of Cuba. The results are what you’d expect to say the least.
To summarize these three jewels, here we go!
Connecticut
This cigar has a creamy smoke with notes of cedar, peppercorn, citrus, and cereal, but some say the finish tastes soapy. Others say it has a nutty, peppery, and chocolatey smell, and a fruity, sweet, and nutty cold draw.
Habano
This cigar has notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, cocoa, cedar, raisin, earth, and black pepper. Some say it has a perfect burn and draw, and that the final third brings everything together.
San Andres
This cigar has notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and a subtle sweetness. Some say the cold draw has notes of cocoa, earth, and a subtle fruit sweetness. Others say the San Andrés wrapper has an earthy taste that highlights the sweetness of the wrapper.
Whichever one you choose will certainly give you a thoroughly enjoyable smoking experience.

If you liked the original Pichardo, you’ll love this one. While it possesses the same smooth medium bodied character as its predecessor, the Reserva Familiar gives you amplified notes of caramel, cocoa, spices and nuts enveloped with natural tobacco sweetness. Excellent.
