The Davidoff Nicaragua Box Pressed edition consists of a slightly different bland than the original. One thing remains the same is the high ratings this amazing medium to full bodied cigar has garnered. The highly critical folks at Cigar Dojo said it best, ” “It worked perfectly—a body that was almost as big and spicy, but with a sweeter backbone—adding more sweetness, vanilla, and caramel to the cigar’s character.”

This edition was Dunbarton’s second entry following the Sobremesa. This medium to full bodied cigar is a true chameleon. The first third is almost mellow with a chocolatey sweetness. As you move along the natural tobacco flavors combine with spices that kick in with increased intensity towards the finish. Yet another wonderfully complex and unique stick from this very cool company.

Espinosa Crema Connecticut is blended to appeal to a wide array of smokers.
Crema is the first Espinosa cigar highlighting a Ecuadorian grown Connecticut Shade wrapper encasing vintage grade Nicaraguan filler and binder leaves. The result is a flavorful mild to medium bodied smoke with Espinosa’s signature taste.
It’s no surprise this vitola is highly recommended by the critics at Developing Palates. “The Crema has such full and distinctive flavors that were well nuanced and balanced. In the recent(ish) wave of Connecticut Shades, I highly recommend consumers to navigate their way to this one.”
The guys at Cigar Coop loved it as well. “The Espinosa Crema delivered a solid smoking experience.”

This is yet another occasion that a sixth star should be added to this stupendous cigar’s rating. Achieving a score of 96 and being named the #1 cigar of the year for 2018 should say enough. While most of EP Carillo entries are generally strong and full flavored, this medium bodied edition is wonderfully complex and can be totally enjoyed by everyone. From start to finish this stick delivers refined tastes of smooth tobacco, gentle spice, pops of citrus and a touch of sweetness. This stick is one of the worlds greats.

RoMa Craft Baka remains of this company’s most popular cigars going on over 6 six years. The result is a solidly medium bodied stick that literally bursts with flavors and subtle spice.
Halfwheel gives it a respectable 90. Without doubt, we do know it delivers a wide array of flavors notes. Think oak, sugar cane, roasted meatiness, paprika and some strawberry sweetness. Noted reviewer KATMAN ups the number to 92. His words are short and sweet. “ This is a very enjoyable experience.” The Developing Palates crew think Baka is amazing. Their take…”Complex flavors with a nice body and strength level. Really cool approach to Cameroon.” Cigar Dojo feels that Baka is complex and quite different from anything offered from RoMa Craft to date. Cigar Coop feels… “It is still is a cigar I’d recommend any cigar enthusiast to try.” And last but not least, Blind Man’s Puff gives it the highest score of 94. Their reaction says it best. “An incredible cigar.”
With this in mind, it’s safe to assume BAKA is a top pick for any humidor.
