Padron Series ‐ Maduro
$114.75 – $344.50Padron Series ‐ Maduro is one of this iconic company’s most popular entries.
This box pressed Padron Maduro is a beautifully balanced and full-bodied smoke of exceptional quality and value. With attention to detail, all the tobacco ages for a minimum of two-and-one-half years before production. It has a strong natural tobacco aroma with notes of leather and spice. Needless to say, this cigar has a perfect draw and produces a lot of aromatic smoke.
In other words, no matter what size or style, Padrons medium to full bodied cigars are always consistently perfect in every way. With a smooth draw, large volume of smoke and robust taste that increases in intensity along the way, it’s no wonder this company’s products are always difficult to find. La Gloria Cubana Maduro
$137.99 – $192.99La Gloria Cubana Maduro remains one of world’s best Maduros even after over 30 years.
This classic Maduro stays true to its Natural original. It also consists of a hand proprietary blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. Binding this special tobacco is the same vintage Nicaraguan binder. The big difference here is the dark and oily Grade A Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. As with its Natural counterpart consistency also describes this very special Maduro. The result is craftsmanship delivering rich, smooth flavor and incredible natural tobacco taste. It’s safe to say that this Maduro is still the benchmark for the mark.
In 1993 Cigar Aficionado rated this gem a respectable 90. Their description is short and to the point. “A very dark, oily wrapper. This cigar has a rich, creamy taste that is brimming with sweet, spicy flavors.” In 1996 it scored the same. And pretty much the same year after year after year. It’s very safe to say this Maduro delivers a rich flavor savoring smokers palates for generations remaining a fan favorite to this day.

Arturo Fuente Hemingway Natural
$148.00 – $362.00I like to call The Hemingway Series the “Aston Martin” of cigars. From the Short Story to the Work of Art, only the most experienced Fuente rollers produce these perfecto sized gems. The selection of tobaccos contained in all styles represents the best of the best of vintage years. The combination of Cameroon, Connecticut Broadleaf, Ecuador Sungrown and Dominican leaves is a closely guarded secret that many others have tried to duplicate without success. These medium bodied, perfectly balanced sticks are difficult to find and worth the search. Numerous 90+ ratings over the decades is a testament to a cigar that is still unmatched. No. doubt that consistency, taste, flavor and value continue to play a part. Not only is this Connecticut blend an everyday smoke, it’s also an any time of the day smoke. While this brand may very well be older than some of you, you’re old enough now to enjoy it. It’s also nice to know that us older folks can continue enjoying it as well.

Macanudo Inspirado Black
$126.56 – $144.54Macanudo Inspirado Black is one of the company’s four hugely successful boutique Inspirado entries.
Coming off the success of the Inspirado Orange, this Black edition amps up the game across the board. Worth noting is the Black line is not your grandpa’s Macanudo. Crafted by a proprietary and experimental process, General Cigar declares, “Cigar lovers who now see Macanudo in a new light should be prepared to be wowed yet again.” With this in mind by contrast, this Inspirado is more full bodied. With attention to detail, this blend possesses a broadleaf wrapper, Ecuador Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan filler from Estelí.
So if you’re looking for a great medium to full bodied cigar with character, this Macanudo should fit right in. A standout in the Inspirado line, Inspirado Black delivers full-bodied boldness in an innovative and balanced cigar. $33.48 – $41.76What most people don’t know is that these value priced sticks are produced in the Florida by J.C. Newman, the folks that bring us some of the best Super Premiums available like Julius Caesar, Diamond Crown and Brick House. Believe it or not, more than pretty good tobaccos are utilized here in a short filler machine made form. What that means is instead of containing long leaves for fillers and binder, the contents is made up of all other leaf parts that haven’t been used in hand made premiums. They’re all encased in different shades of really nice Sungrown Ecuadorian wrappers in a variety of 3 sizes and styles. While their appearance is not perfect, each one is mild-mellow in taste with its own character. The 59 Sweet 6×45 has always been my pick of a short pleasant smoke for a whopping $1.65 price tag.

This complex little guy is wrapped in a near black USA grown Connecticut Broadleaf with a Honduran Broadleaf binder. The Dominican fillers are combined with a rarely used, very powerful Capa Dura Honduran leaf which oddly enough, is a leaf thats grows on the plant after its been harvested.
